Mr. Puspa Ratna Maharjan (Dhana), the owner of Ujwal Carpet Udhyog, is a self-made entrepreneur, a gifted carpet maker, and a socially active individual. His journey in the carpet industry began in 1989, and he founded Ujwal Carpet Industry in 2007.

Read his full journey
Starting with a small carpet manufacturing company, Mr. Maharjan worked as a graph designer for around five to six months. He then joined a reputable carpet manufacturing company as a supervisor, gaining valuable first-hand experience while managing around 50–60 employees during his two years there.
He later joined another large carpet manufacturing company as a production manager. In this role, he visited the factory regularly, supervised weaving, calculated wool and inventory requirements, and managed the workers.
These experiences gave him confidence in both his creativity and his managerial capabilities. He worked as a part-time freelancer before deciding to focus more formally on the entire carpet-making process. He established his own creative carpet manufacturing company, Ujwal Carpet Industry, in 2007.
Mr. Maharjan remains dedicated to quality and his work. He conducts research himself and participates in research by other people and organizations. He enjoys discussing new designs and customized carpets. If you have something in mind, he welcomes the opportunity to connect.

A LITTLE GUIDANCE
Find your perfect fit.
Three things to consider before choosing a carpet.
Start with your room
Measure the space and think about furniture placement. A larger rug can help connect a seating area.
Choose your mood
Keep it calm with neutral textures, or make your carpet the focal point with a distinctive pattern.
Think about daily life
Consider foot traffic, cleaning, and comfort. Ask about materials and care before making your choice.
